SMB AI Adoption- The Time is Now!

ree

According to the most recent 2025 surveys from Salesforce, Thryv, and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, SMBs are using AI to save time, grow revenue, and meet customer expectations for frictionless shopping, speed, and personalization.

Case studies demonstrate that small businesses are leveraging AI for content creation, inventory management, customer relationship management, and marketing automation. Surveys confirm that cost savings and efficiency gains are the top drivers of adoption. The results speak for themselves:

  • 91% of SMBs using AI report that it has boosted their revenue

  • 58% of SMBs using AI save more than 20 hours per month, and two-thirds report saving between $500 and $2,000 per month

  • 80% of SMBs using AI say it is essential for reaching new customers, and 78% say it helps meet rising expectations around frictionless shopping, speed, and personalization. (Thryv 2025 survey)

If the smallest companies—who can’t afford mistakes—are betting on AI, it’s proof that AI has crossed from novelty to utility.

This includes streamlining and optimizing key workflows, accelerating time-consuming bottlenecks, and transforming the way they gather and utilize data for informed decision-making.

Yet, many still sit on the sidelines, not because they oppose AI, but because they do not know where or how to begin.

AI is a relatively easy technology to use and become proficient with, but applying it to real business problems that yield measurable outcomes is not as straightforward. This is the most significant barrier to entry for those who need it most.

This is a fixable problem. Simply put, if someone were to simplify AI to deliver the outcomes without the messy and costly change initiatives, adoption rates and consistent usage will dramatically increase.

This is my latest initiative. Soon, I will be unveiling two big ideas: Automated Social Media Content Sharing and AI tools that will enable SMBs to replace dashboards, spreadsheets, and guesswork with a solution that allows them to “talk to their businesses” via conversation-based AI agents.

Stay tuned!
